Our little mama hen

A perfect example of why I love my life on the farm. Mama Hen decided she wanted to have some little biddies of her own, so she patiently waited and turned each little egg for 3 weeks. Her patience was rewarded (x 5!).

She is so proud of her little brood, always clucking and chirping to them.

Mike and I discovered them just an hour or so after hatching.

They are so soft!

All nuzzled down in her feathers.

♥ I hope you enjoyed that peek into our farm life!

  3. They are soooooooo cute!!! We have a hen sitting on 11 eggs right now. *smiles* but we didn't mark on the calendar when she started sitting so we don't know when to expect them :-) Your mother hen looks like a VERY good mother.
